Principles of functions:
Laser depilation is a major discovery of modern opto-thermodynamics
According to the optional opto-thermodynamics principles, laser depilation reasonably adjusts laser wavelength, energy and pulse width, and then the laser could get through the skin surface and enter into the root of hair. The light energy is absorbed and converted into thermal energy that could destroy hair follicle tissues, so that the hair loses the ability of regeneration and meanwhile surrounding tissues will not be damaged with slight pains. At present laser depilation is the safest and most convenient and eternal depilation technology. Due to the different growing cycle of follicles, hairs of any parts have some potential to grow, i.e. latent period. That’s to say, laser is effective to follicle undergoing regeneration period, but ineffective to those in latent period. As a result, general 2-4 times treatment is required targeting at growing characteristics of hair in different parts to remove excessive hair in all parts of body.
Skin of human is a relatively non-light tight structure. Skin is almost a sheet of transparent glass paper in front of the powerful E light, so E light can smoothly penetrate skin and enter the follicle (the part where hair grows). Quite much melanin in the follicle can firstly absorb a great amount of light energy and convert into thermal energy finally, so that the follicle temperature rises and its function is destroyed eventually. During the process, skin does not absorb light energy relatively, or a little light energy, so skin will not be damaged. In addition, cooling device is installed in the treatment head of E light to protect skin, which leads to depilation treatment without skin damage, dyschromatosis or scar. Hair has three growing periods: growing period, resting period and regression period. A great number of pigment granules only lies in the follicle under the growing period and can absorb a great amount of light energy, so E light has depilation function to hair under growing period, while unreflective to hair under resting and regression periods due to relatively less hair pigments. Therefore, it usually takes 3-6 times for E light depilation to destroy all follicles and make them lose the growing function. |
